Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word offers an opportunity to involve children in Kinder through 3rd grade in the Mass. CLOW is offered at three Sunday Masses: 9:30am, 11:30am and 1:30pm. Children can actively experience the joy of song, the holiness of silence and the richness of Church ritual – colors of the liturgical seasons, refreshing water, oil, fire, and light. As friends, neighbors and family within the parish, the children bring to us the simplicity of God’s Word as scripture stories are told, retold and discussed at home, on the bike path, in the car, at bedtime, etc. We seek to show each child that they are important participants in the liturgy of God’s Word, thereby enriching the entire parish family. We seek to show them the Wonder of God’s Word. Adult leaders are trained according to the guidelines established by the Archdiocese and the parish.
Little Church is a nursery alternative that offers structured play and learning for 3 and 4 year old children during 9:30am, 11:30am, and 1:30pm Sunday masses. The children share in the Gospel message through storytelling, song, games, and crafts. These preschoolers experience Jesus’ love in everyday life in a way that is appropriate for them. Little Church meets from mid-August through May. Adult leaders are trained according to guidelines established by the Archdiocese and the parish.
